Defense Secretary Robert Gates has agreed to lift the ban on media coverage of our country's returning military dead from Iraq and Afghanistan provided that the families of the fallen agree to the photographs being taken. President George H.W. Bush, instituted the "Dover Ban" in 1991 prior to the Gulf War because he was worried that images of the returning military dead would affect support for the war. The media and photographers have been kept away from the coffins of our fallen from Iraq and Afghanistan.

ULTra (Urban Light Transport) is a form of PRT (Personal Rapid Transit), which is a system of automatic driverless pods, that travel on their own guideway network. This means that instead of large groups of people having to wait for public transportation, that makes several stops; this pod transports a group of 4-6 people to their desired destination, without stops, and without a driver. The vehicle is eco friendly -powered by a battery with 2KW motive power. It is not available anywhere yet. Heathrow (United Kingdom) will be the first to experience it.

Solar Powered Mobile Phone
LG is planning on dropping a solar-powered cell phone on the mobile communications market so you'll no longer need a wall charger to power your communication device. According to LG, exposing the solar panel to the sun for a mere ten minutes will charge the phone with enough juice to make a three-minute call. No pricing or release date have been announced.
